About Me
My writing was first published in fourth grade. It was poetry, and it wasn't very good, but it gave me an idea for my future career.
Thankfully, I've come a long way since then and have decided to stick firmly with prose. Early in my time at Miami University, I realized I was much better at written communication than verbal, bowing out of the mock trial team and abandoning my law career (before it was born) and switching to journalism.
With a focus on sports, I've published hundreds of stories to audiences of thousands, covering everything from informal fluff stories to once-in-a-lifetime community events and investigative stories that prompted a university inquiry. My comprehensive Master's degree exams focused on crisis communication in the sports world, particularly focusing on traumatic brain injury and league responsibility. Writing of all sorts is my passion, and so is sharing it with others.
With experience managing both personal and business social media accounts, I understand how to find the perfect balance between industry practices and differentiating yourself. And because the digital world is always changing, I always look to further my education and learn more daily, maintaining my certifications, making connections, and publishing my own content!
